MRM campus Ilam is the first Constituent Autonomous Campus of TU granted on 18 Magh 2066.It offers BA, B.Ed, BBS and B.Sc in Horticulture and Floriculture Management program at Bachelor level and MA and M.Ed programs in Master level. Masters program in five subjects such as in Education, planning and management,(EPM) English Language teaching in education faculty, Masters in Rural development, Sociology, and Nepali in faculty of Humanities.

Commercial horticulture is big business in developed countries. There are garden centres in nearly every town and huge public interest in gardening, garden design and plantings. While commercial horticulture includes the production of fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants of all types, floriculture, as a specialism of commercial horticulture, concentrates on the production and management of ornamental crops.
