yjnayavalkya Lakshminarayan Vidhyapeeth

Yjnayavalkya Lakshminarayan Vidyapeeth , situated in  Matihani of Mahottaro district, Janakpur Zone , has a remarkable contribution in Sanskrit education in Nepal. Before Tribhuvan University recognized as its own constituent Vidyapeeth under Institute of Sanskrit in 2030, Yjnayavalkya Lakshminarayan Vidyapeeth ,the then Yjnayavalkya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya used to run Uttermadhyama, and  Shastri  level classes. It is obvious that the role of  temples , Mathas, and Guthis to preserve and  promote Sanskrit education is unforgettable in Nepal. If we look back the  history king Hemkerna Sen of Makawanpur had built Lakshminarayan temple in Matihani Matha. Chief of the Matha Ramrakshya Das had appointed two Sanskrit scholars to teach Vyakarna, Vedanta, and Rammayan. Later students were provided food  during Premiership of  the then Prime Minister Chandra Shamsher through Central Guthi Sansthan.
