Pindeshwor Vidyapeeth , situated in Eastern development region, has a long history of Sanskrit education in Nepal. It is one of the five Sanskrit Campuses run under the Institute of Sanskrit ,TU before Nepal Sanskrit University, the then Mahendra Sanskrit University included it as a constituent Vidypeeth in 2043 B.S. With the amount collected by Ramdhuni,Chatara and Pindeshwor Matha, Pindeshwor Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was established and Sanskrit Scholar Chhabilal Pokhrel was appointed the Pracharya( Principal) . It crossed many ups and downs. Finally Tribhuvan University included it under Institute of Sanskrit as a constituent campus in 2030.
