ATC, Licensing, Aerodrome Control and AFIS Course is provided by Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal through CAAN Academy. CAAN Academy is located in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. To pursue the profession as Air Traffic Controller in NEPAL one needs to obtain the certification. The course is offered periodically with limited seats. In total, the course is overall of 33 weeks. If you come from the privilege group there is around 49% seat allocated. To get enrolled in the course you need to have Bachelors degree certificate in IT, Management or Engineering with minimum score of CGPA 2.5 with English language Proficiency certification provided by TU with minimum score of Grade-B. If someone have done bachelors degree from foreign universities they need to evaluate the proficiency through TU. Age bar to get enrolled is 21 to not exceeding 27 years old. The enrolment procedure contains written exam and interview. One additional requirement is candidate must attach the ATC licensing Class III medical Report obtained from the Health authority assigned by CAAN.
